I am Mrs. Mortenson

HOLA!!!
Well...sorry I haven't written, I am alive and married too. I have been super busy with school (finals), moving in, organizing my apartment and being married. haha. I finally have the time to sit down and blog!
I guess I should re-cap the reception, honeymoon and moving in.
Reception: Perfect
Honeymoon: SOOO fun
Moving in: sucked (well moving Brian in and organizing everything was just a mess)
Here is a picture of Brian and I on our Safari adventure. We got to see some waterfalls then swim in the lake.

But really, the wedding ceremony and reception was wonderful! I loved it all and seeing so many family and friends there to celebrate with us! It couldn't have gotten any better. The honeymoon was incredible. We went to the Dominican Republic and it truly is a tropical paradise! We had so much fun the whole week, but missed our families on thanksgiving! We got to explore the capital and even go on a safari!

So, now I am a married woman and my house is ALMOST in order. I had a lot of help from my mom and other sources. We are trying to be really festive, we even have a Christmas tree up!! (thanks to Brian's friend Michael who donated a tree to us :) haha).

Recent News: Brian and I just joined our new ward...well it is a branch here in Tucson. Its the Spanish-branch and we already love it. I am pretty sure we will get callings this next week. We already had the missionaries over for dinner and went to an appointment with them. Also I am cooking for the Christmas party tonight and somehow a sister in the branch got Brian to sign up to sing for the party!! haha. So last night we go to the choir practice for this Christmas party (wel I tagged along, just to hear), and the choir is a whole 3 people hahahah!!! And then I thought it was just going to be one musical number, but no, it is a whole program! Brian and 2 other men have to sing about 10 songs! HAHA. Did I mention one of the men singing is a new convert and doesn't know ANY Christmas hymns? Yeah. This is going to be good tonight....I think I will document it by filming Brian's debut proformance.

GOO!!!

So this is it! I get married this week! In 4 days! Wahoo! Yet I am the most stressed I have ever been my entire life! Everything that could be due for school is due this week! I am ready to scream, haha. I have been working non stop on project after project. As I should be right now but oh well...haha.

Brian and I are very excited getting last minute things ready. We really can't wait to be together forever! Anyway, Saturday I had a special experience to go through the temple with my family and Brian's family even came down from prescott!! Anyway it was so great!! I was in awe of everything that goes on but I can't wait to go back and do it all again and learn more! Brian and I had a few funny experiences there, which I can't share unless you've been through, so ask me for it later haha. Anyway, Brian and I saw a ton of people we knew there too! It was so special to see old friends or even new ones at the temple! :) Anyway, I can't wait for Saturday and to get to celebrate with everyone as well!

Time is flying by.

No joke, time is flying by! I can't believe I am getting married in just about 2 weeks, give or take a day! Goo! It seemed like just yesterday was a 3 month mark until Brian and I get married, but I am certainly not complaining. Brian and I have been extremely busy. Especially with school. Considering I am coming up on the end of my school I have a lot of big projects due soon...like a teaching portfolio! yikes! Brian defintely keeps busy with his Organic chemistry classes and physics and evolutionary medicine and whatever else he takes. It seems all he does is study. Which is good. (sometimes haha).

So this past weekend was Halloween/Bridal Shower weekend. In other words it was BUSY! Thursday Natalie came down to visit, it was really fun time! I have most definitely missed her. Then Friday my cousin David came down, and stayed with Brian. Brian, Colby, David, Natalie and I had a lot of fun! We carved the most ginormous pumpkin ever then went to the single adults trunk or treat to stack up on candy. But before that we went to Chipotle for dinner...it was free if you dressed up as a Chipotle burrito, so we did! Then we stayed at the YSA dance for about 10 minutes, we later decided it was time to go to Old Tucson and have some fun at a haunted house. It was quite a night!!

Saturday I drove up to Phoenix (really it was Glendale if anyone cares) for my bridal shower. It was so perfect and fun! I couldn't have asked for anything better. seriously! I got lots of good stuff for the house and well me haha. It was fun! Then I drove back to Tucson right after the shower with Paige and Jonathan. The group (Brian, Colby, David, Jonathan and I) went to a dance party that night and then watched a not-so-scary movie at my apartment afterwards. It was a fun yet extremely busy weekend.

This weekend I am going to Phoenix again!!! I am going to be getting my hair done, and my dress fitted, my wedding trial hair and make-up done as well!! I have so much to do this weekend relating to wedding stuff. Not to mention school work. Anyway, I think I have written enough about my life. I will post pictures of the dress...actually it will be a surprise so I won't do that :) Have a wonderful weekend to whoever reads this!

Busy day!!

Hi Kirsten. haha.

Anyway...to everyone who reads my blog, which is no one because i forgot I signed up for this, hello.

Today is going to be extremely busy. I am about to shower and get ready then Brian and I are going to Costco. Sadly we have been looking forward to this all week. The nearest Costco is, not that close. Anyway, Brian is also going to get fitted for his tux and then we are going to look at some Halloween costumes. Oh, I almost forgot to say that we are going to the UA football game tonight. I am excited about that...kind of.
